Scientific experiments, Fights, and eye-boggling Animation. What else do you need to have a good time watching anime?

Everything is amazing in this anime. It was a mind fuck experience. I couldn't watch it in one go, as the storyline and animation were so intense. I was forced to take a break(it's only a 10-episode anime). Though it has only 10 episodes, it doesn't feel like it was quick. I didn't feel like I need more of this shit. The point I want to highlight here is that it was a complete anime with a solid storyline.

This anime gives a hint about what would happen if AI and technology development reach their peaks. Though it's not perfect(technology and shit) yet it's interesting to see how all that might happen in real life. It might be a noble thought to make prosthetics for the disabled but they can also be used by people to enhance their performance. Anime highlights how dangerous the implants can be. Just as people abuse opioids (which are tranquilizers). I would definitely get those cool implants if I were a character in Night City(NC).

The storyline is not too complex yet not so simple. It brings together the social inequalities and how desperate people are to climb up the corporate ladder and establish monopoly(that doesn't really happen as someone is planning their downfall and some other is trying their best to become better than them) in the market(as amazon in e-commerce). It shows how people get corrupted(people are cyborgs in this anime. corrupted=dead), similar to computers, over time by their ill deeds. The love story of MCS reminds me of Eren and Mikasa. The love and understanding they show towards each other - level ga chigau.

The colors and animation are top-notch. It's not the generic style of animation, it felt like they invented new techniques to make it look extraordinary. Most of the story is in the nighttime. It feels like the animators turned on dark mode in the anime. The neon light effects are the highlight of the animation. 

The sound effects are so good, use earphones for an immersive experience. You can hear little sounds that are hardly noticed when heard on speakers. The voice actors are amazing. The background score is immersive. It just takes you into the frame. The ending song is the highlight of music in this anime.

It deserves the Best Anime Award.
