The Tomorrow War is a sci-fi action movie. I loved each and every scene in this movie(especially the ones that have Chris Pratt). Well, I like action movies and most of them are awesome, but what makes The Tomorrow War incredible? It is incredible because its CGI scenes are realistic and every detail is crafted with expertise. Nothing seems out of place and everything falls into place if you enjoy as well as think about the logic behind every scene.
I'll try not to spoil much, we will now see - Can we travel through the multiverse with a time machine? The movie's plot goes something like this- An alien apocalypse takes place in the near future of the current timeline(current time- year 2021). People from the future(year 2051) time travel back to current timeline for the military support in the current timeline. People from the current timeline time travel to the future to fight alongside the future generation. The Scientist of the future discovers a toxin that can destroy the alien's DNA. The people from the current timeline travel back from the future and stop the apocalypse from happening(by killing all of them before they go berserk).
If we take a look at the storyline there are some assumptions that might not be true like the aliens have DNA in their cells(if we assume aliens have cells), if we travel through time we can interact with people, and the toxin would actually work on aliens in the current timeline as they might not be the same as they are in the future(evolution).
Here we are going to make an assumption that every choice you make in life leads you to one reality while there exists another reality where you make antithetical decisions. This way we agree that there exist multiple universes that result from an individual's decisions. This holds true even when you don't consider someone else's opinion that might influence the events occurring in your life as everything falls into place when you take a look at the bigger picture. The big picture depicts the multiple universes formed by every individual(not just you). This assumption is similar to the plot of the movie Everything Everywhere All At Once.
If the above assumptions hold true then our protagonist has actually traveled to another universe. A universe where aliens erase human existence. As he quotes at the end of the movie about not leaving his family. This tells us how he is trying to live in a universe where everything goes right for him. If you time travel you are bound to change the course of actions and eventually lead to the same future and you'll end up in a different universe where things don't really line up with what you have actually seen during your time travel.
Finally, The Tomorrow War and Everything Everywhere All At Once are great movies in all aspects from storyline to cinematography, and have amazing casts and crew. You should definitely watch them.
